5 day “Flinders Ranges & Outback Tour” May 07

 

Dear Graham.

YES the tour far exceeded our expectations, it was a wonderful mix of towns, deserts, flights, and the Ridge Top Tour a very exhilarating occasion.  To experience the outback and stand in the middle of nowhere and see blue skies from horizon to horizon was truly awesome.

Dave Burge was an excellent guide, driver and companion with many amusing stories and most importantly he always new the best places to eat!   Every moment was an adventure.

Dave’s Outback Designer Tour. June 17 2007 client special request 7 day tour.

 

We called it “The Tour of the Year”.

For six of us ladies it certainly was.  This is a thank you to Dave Burge of Back of Beyond Tours, we highly recommend everyone to book and experience the outback as it should be with passion, awe, excitement learning, fun, adventure, companionship and most of all lots & lots of laughter, which is what we experienced with Dave.  Food was amazing, Dave just rustled it up in record time, was always so delicious and heaps of it.  Accommodation was camping or in camp accommodation with no complaints, we went in June, a cold month of the year, in our swags we were always warm.

We went to amazing places, all the usual tourist spots, Uluru, Kings Canyon, The Olgas, a BBQ in the Dead Center of Australia, off the beaten track and just stopping in the middle of nowhere to see and talk about all the amazing flora & fauna.

Dave’s stories were captivating and very informative, history, folk lore, bush tucker & bush medicine, early settlers & explorers, his knowledge is remarkable and all very intelligent.

The six of us ladies have all thrown in what we feel about Back of Beyond Tours, genuine, professional, trustworthy, understanding to our needs, nothing was too much trouble, accommodating..

The only trouble we are experiencing now is coming back to earth and saving hard to go on his tour next year!!!
